Malachy's problem

Do you think that Malachy will stop his drinking problem by the end of the book?

  1. I don't think that Malachy will stop his drinking problem by the end of the book. It seems like he drinks whenever things get bad, and their life seems pretty bad, so i think that as long as their lifes continue to suck, he will continue to drink.

  2. I don't think that Malachy's drinking problem will stop by the end of the book, unless there is something to distract him from it. However, I don't think that there will be anything in the book that will fully take him away from drinking like Margaret had.

  3. I think Malachy will not stop his drinking problem, because so far what I've read in the book has been tragic and the tragedies hasn't stoped him from drinking yet, the tragedies have actually made him worse. Maybe Malachy will stop drinking but I think it will take time. Malachy is so desperate to drink he tells the pub owners his tragedies to get free alcohol, he could quit but I dont think he will because what I've already read, alcohol has a poweriful affect on him.
